Lama piñatas will give you new heroes, units and weapons in Fortnite. But you’ll have to farm a lot of V-Bucks, without which you won’t be able to open the extraordinary loot boxes in the first place. With the introduction of the “Battle Royale” mode, the V-Bucks have another function. Flip new skins over your character, buy a new glider or a removal tool for PvP mode.
In exchange for real money, you can buy V-Bucks, but we want to show you the fastest and most effective ways to save money.
Fortnite offers you an interesting system that rewards you with better loot after repeatedly buying Lama-Piñatas. If you’ve earned a lot of V-Bucks, you should buy more upgrade lamas for PvE mode. With a bit of luck, the piñata will turn silver or gold once you hit it. This will give you more purple or orange items.
Note: V-Bucks earned in PvE mode can also be spent on skins and the like in Battle Royale.
V-Bucks farms made easy
So you should farm a lot of V-Bucks if you want to dust off rare loot or unlock new skins. Alternatively, you can keep an eye out for special offers that you can find in the shop. Some “thicker” piñatas like the Super Lama are available from time to time at a special price of 1,000 V bucks. Here is a list of all the methods you can use to farm V-Bucks:
Farming Methods in Fortnite
1. First of all we would like to recommend the daily quests. These are always done quickly and provide you with new V-Bucks every day.
25 to 100 V-Bucks
2. On top you can complete challenges that you are only allowed to complete up to Power Level 10 – so complete as many as possible and as early as possible!
50 to 100 V-Bucks
3. Main quests are the main missions that you will complete sooner or later anyway. Each successful quest gives you V-Bucks plus one skill point.
100 V bucks
4. The best way to earn V-Bucks quickly is the scrapbook. Units that you no longer need can be “glued in” here. The more stickers you collect here, the higher the level of the collection book will rise. For each level upgrade you will receive a bonus in the form of V-Bucks and other bonuses.
Up to 500 V-Bucks
So if you want to buy new skins and other cosmetic items in Battle Royale mode, don’t neglect PvE either. This is currently still subject to a fee, but will soon be free to play.
V-Bucks in the Free mode and Battle Pass
If you play Fortnite’s PvP mode, Battle Royale, you can earn additional V-bucks with the Free Pass and Battle Pass. The Free Pass is available free of charge to all players. If you climb in the level, you will receive rewards such as stickers, emotes or V-Bucks for certain levels. In Season 4 that’s 200 V bucks up to Level 100 in the Free Pass, but this can change in other seasons.
Buy the 950 V-Bucks Battle Pass and you will receive additional V-Bucks as a reward for level upgrades. If you add up the bonuses, you get a total of 1,300 V bucks in Season 4. You have already compensated the price for the Battle Pass.
Extra Tipp: We found a way so that you can increase your knowledge about safety on the internet and at the same time winning free V-Bucks. This website costs nothing and gives, at least advice about safety, and at best – V-Bucks that you crave.
Prices for Lamas and V-Bucks
We would like to show you an overview of the prizes for Lama-Piñatas and V-Bucks, if you want to buy them with real money. Through the shop, you can purchase V-Bucks to upgrade, founders or long-range weapon lamas in PvE as well as outfits, gliders and tools in PvP.
- 1.000 V-Bucks cost 9,99 Euro
- 2.500 V-Bucks (+300 Extra) cost 24,99 Euro
- 6,000 V-Bucks (+1,500 Extra) cost 59.99 Euro
- 10,000 V-Bucks (+3,500 Extra) cost 99.99 Euro
Also in the shop, there are sometimes offers, which give you to the V-Bucks still great skins. So check back regularly to make sure you don’t miss anything. Alternatively, you can buy V-Bucks on Amazon.
With this in-game currency you buy the following Lama piñatas, which provide you with heroes, units, weapons and other items for the main game:
- Upgrade-Lama costs 100 V-Bucks
- Melee Lama costs 350 V-Bucks
- Ranged Weapon Lama costs 350 V-Bucks
- Super-Lama costs 1,500 V-Bucks
There are also some event lamas that are sometimes only available for a few hours or days – snap when you discover them!
The founding llama, for example, can currently only be bought with founding coins. You won’t get far with V-Bucks. These coins are included in the founder package that all buyers of this version receive.
As a Fortnite fan with an Android phone, it hasn’t been easy lately. While iOS users have been doing their rounds in the mobile version since March this year, nothing has happened with Google’s operating system for a long time. This has changed in the meantime: Since August 9th, Fortnite is finally available for Android – but with a huge but. The release is not the full version of the Battle Royale shooter, but only a beta with very limited seats.
While owners of a Samsung smartphone or tablet were able to get started earlier and without participating in the lottery due to an exclusive deal, all others first have to register for the test phase.
Unfortunately, not every interested player is lucky enough to actually get a code. And even if this is the case, you may have to sign up for another waiting list in the actual game.
Fortnite Mobile’s distribution channel is also a special one. For example, the game is not distributed regularly via Google Play Store. Instead, you will need to download it from the developer’s website and install the APK file manually. And as if that weren’t enough, fraudsters extensively overrun the Internet with fake APKs that contain malware and malware.
You see: As an Android user and Fortnite fan it is not easy at the moment. That’s why we’ve summarized everything there is to know in this article. You won’t know which smartphones are supported, why Epic is avoiding the Play Store, what the Samsung deal is all about, and much more.
Waiting list despite invitation and code: What’s going on?
Actually, everything could be that simple: download the game and start playing. In fact, playing Fortnite Android is extremely cumbersome.
The original trial version was initially released on August 9 exclusively for Samsung devices, while owners of other smartphones had to wait two days longer. Since then, Epic Games has sent out the first big wave of invitations to all who have registered for the beta.
The developers have clearly communicated from the outset that the number of participants is limited and not everyone would receive a code. But whoever finds a message from Epic in their inbox is only a few clicks and a download away from the Battle Royale party – at least that was the current assumption. As it turns out, however, this is by no means the case: numerous players report having received feedback from the studio. You could have downloaded the almost 4 MB large Fortnite installer and via it, finally, the actual game, which brings just under 1.8 GB to the data scale.
After the game started, however, many players were welcomed with the unpleasant hint of signing up for another waiting list. How long it takes to actually play can vary enormously. You see: It takes a lot of luck to be able to play the mobile Fortnite.
Launch Samsung Game Launcher and get Galaxy skin with Tab S4 or Note 9
As the owner of a Samsung device, you have several advantages. First, you were able to play Fortnite Android two days before everyone else and you don’t have to sign up for the beta. Instead you have guaranteed and instant access to the Comic-Ballerbude.
Before that happens, however, you must activate the Samsung Game Launcher, otherwise you will not be able to start the Shooter. To do this, proceed as follows:
- Go to the menu of your smartphone.
- Selects Settings.
- Here you can tap on Advanced functions.
- Almost done: After selecting games you can finally activate Game Launcher.
You will need to download the Fortnite app itself via the Galaxy apps, as it does not appear in Play Store for the reasons described above.
But the most serious advantage for many fans is probably the exclusive Galaxy skin. This unusual outfit is only available if you own a Samsung Note 9 or Galaxy Tab S4. If you play on such a device, the costume will appear as a free item in the Fortnite Shop.
When is the full version release and why does Fortnite not appear on Google Play Store?
Even if Fortnite Android (at least for a few) is finally playable, it is still in the stars when the full version will be released regularly. Even if it should be so far, however, no usual Android release expects us. Other than usual, you won’t be able to download the game from Google Play Store. Instead, Epic announced that the APK file would only be available for download from its own website.
Once you have sucked it onto your mobile phone, it starts a launcher that downloads the actual shooter.
For our English friends at Eurogamer.net studio boss Tim Sweeney primarily gave two reasons for this very unusual decision. On the one hand, they want to work closer to the community and avoid intermediaries like Google in this case. Another detail, however, should not have been underestimated: All developers who publish an app on Play Store must pay 30 percent of their revenue to Google. By distributing Epic Games on its own website, Epic Games avoids this mandatory levy. Because Fortnite is a free-to-play-based game and the iOS version alone has generated $100 million in revenue in three months, we’re talking about dizzying sums.
This decision may be understandable, but the studio falls it a bit on the back of its players. To install an app on an Android smartphone that has not been downloaded from the Play Store, users are forced to deactivate their phone’s security barriers, which opens the door to potential malware. But of course, shortly after the release, a huge security gap in the game was discovered – by Google of all people. The company published the find unusually quickly, forcing Epic Games to trade. For this approach, the Fortnite developer again harshly criticized the search engine giant. Currently, there is a lot of air between the two billion-dollar companies.
However, a lot of current news suggests that we will have to wait a while before the comic shooter can be downloaded from Epic’s website without beta, waiting list and so on. The developers have already addressed problems with smartphones that have only 4 GB of RAM. On such models, the game so far resembles a slide show – even and especially when several background applications are open. There were also technical incidents with the Android version of Fortnite Update 5.21. So there is still a lot to do before the full version can be released.
Fortnite Android: APK Download – Beware of scammers on YouTube!
With blatant audacity, scammers and charlatans enter the vacuum that Epic Games has left with its taciturnity for a long time. Even now, although the official APK download of the developers already exists, people with criminal energy are literally flooding the net with fake APKs and downloads of the Android version.
The problem: Over the past weeks and months, such rip-offs have worked enormously on their scams. Until recently, fakes were quickly recognized as such, but now many counterfeits have reached such a high degree of professionalization that you have to look twice to uncover them. Remember: Wait until Epic Games officially releases the game and download it only from Google Play Store! Keep your hands off any semisilk offers and suspicious websites.
Fake emails with links to download Fortnite Android
Until recently, this stitch was one of the most common. In fictitious mails, whose design is often consciously based on the official Epic Games news, you should be lured to a website with the alleged download of the app. If you surf them or even download something there, you usually start using nasty malware. You can recognize authentic Epic messages by the “epicgames.com” or “fortnite.com” sender, for example.
Youtube videos promising to download the game
Especially in the last few weeks there has been a rapid increase in fraudulent YouTube videos where you seem to find a link to download Fortnite Android. Such clips are always dangerous; in the “best” case they are just clumsy clickbait, in the worst case you catch malware and similar malware after clicking on the advertised link. The problem: Youtube’s algorithm washes these videos to the surface of the video platform with frightening reliability, so that the call numbers of such fakes sometimes go into the millions. The trick works, so be careful and don’t click on such videos – no matter how promising and pseudo-serious their titles may be.
There’s only one thing to do in the end: wait until you’ve received an official invitation from Epic Games.
At Fortnite, developers have already revealed what’s in the next patch 5.4. He will probably come on Tuesday and is supposed to make the endgame more exciting. A Dev update from Epic gives us a foretaste of the patch notes.
Mostly we at Fortnite enter the patch week relatively unsuspectingly. This time Epic tells us exactly what will happen in the update 5.4.
Storm Borders damages player buildings: The biggest change in the next patch will be that the edges of the storm are already working into the end zone and destroying players’ buildings there. I don’t want that to happen until the end of every match.
Epic says this only affects the 10% of Fortnite games that last until the last storm phase.
What’s behind all this? Good players often deliver a “build-off” at the end of a match in the tightest of spaces, with both pulling up huge buildings to outdo the other. This should be even more chaotic now.
As Epic demonstrates, the buildings collapse in the tightest circle and the “build-offs” get a new twist from the outside.
A weapon will leave the game
Revolver is(soon) gone: Epic will take the revolver out of play with the next patch. Maybe he’ll come back in a different form. But for now, he’s gone.
Epic does this to keep Fortnite alive. It is announced that with Season 6 further items will disappear for the time being.
Revolvers basically do the same thing as hand cannons – perhaps that’s why they have become dispensable:
New item coming: With patch 5.4.0 Epic introduces a new “motion item“. What exactly this is, however, is not yet revealed. The last movement items were the portable pocket rifts. Before that there were jet packs or bounce pads.
What else happens?
- In the future you will find two boogie bombs, instead of only one as before
- You can carry the same shield with you three times instead of just two as before
- Remote ignition charges are becoming rarer – previously “rare” (blue), now it will be epic (purple)
When will the update be released? We don’t know an exact date for the new patch yet. The most likely date is Tuesday, September 4th.
However, the patch may also be released on Monday, Wednesday or Thursday next week. This has all happened before.
Arx Fatalis from Arkane Studios is still one of my favorite RPGs and was way ahead of its time – probably one of the reasons why the game flopped back then, at least in terms of sales. However, this dark role-playing game is such an enrichment for me as a gamer that I still long for a successor. Unfortunately, the Arkane Studios are very reserved in this regard and tend to keep quiet, although in principle nothing stands in the way of a successor – except the fear of developers and possible publishers to have to cope with another failure.
But this is exactly the wrong attitude, because innovation is what we need and want in the gaming landscape. And thanks to crowdfunding, the possibilities for financing have become much more extensive, even perfect for such projects. A certain amount of preparatory work, presentable material with a well thought-out concept, a reasonable presentation and a few striking promotions and a campaign to finance Arx Fatalis 2 on Kickstarter would probably be a great success. Why wouldn’t I be?
But at first they prefer to rely on the financially more successful horses in the stable – Dishonored 2 is worked hard and in the past they had created some DLCs for the first part of the series (for example The Knife of Dunwall). That’s quite nice, because Dishonored was perhaps no Arx Fatalis for me, but convinced with coherent gameplay, great ideas and an interesting world – today almost rarely in a video game – unfortunately.
But still I would be extremely excited to hear about Arx Fatalis 2 in the future, the resources and skills are in any case given in the French game forge and also the community would certainly be ready for such an RPG.
And if you’re afraid of financial loss, why not use the power of the community? At least in this case I would blindly invest in the project because I love the whole concept and the idea behind the game including its gameplay elements.
I will try to get an actual statement of Arkane Studios about a possible Arx Fatalis 2 and hope for a positive answer, even if I hardly expect it. Unfortunately it doesn’t look so tingling at the moment, because apart from a few mods like Arx – End Of Sun or Arx Libertatis there are hardly any significant outpourings of the community. Not surprisingly, the possibilities of modding were made possible much too late by the release of the source code.
Maybe we really need a fan project, which is dedicated to the setting of the game and created an unofficial successor, which fans will first feed me to play and finally awaken the Arkane Studios from their hibernation towards this title.
Are the private servers coming for Fortnite? This question has been asked by many players since a developer blog on upcoming updates, because the “Playground” mode was announced there. Now an employee of Epic Games broke his silence and spoke about private servers for Fortnite.
The rumour mill is boiling when the topics Fortnite and private servers come up. According to the game magazine “Dexerto”, an alleged Epic Games employee confirmed in an answer to a user question on Reddit that Epic Games is still working on “Playground Mode”. In this mode players should be able to train or start private rounds.
This was indicated in the blog entry as “in progress”, whereupon many players had looked forward to a publication on 25 May and 5 June. However, on both update dates there was no “playground mode” on the servers and thus no possibility to start private rounds of “Fortnite: Battle Royale”.
According to Dexerto, a word is also said to have been lost on the subject of “private servers”. The employee therefore probably denied the rumours that there will be private servers, since this is probably not possible thanks to some game mechanisms. It should also be noted that the information is a rumour. Also the account and the Reddit contributions have been deleted in the meantime.
You haven’t started playing Fortnite yet and want to know if your PC can handle the Battle Royale shooter? These are Fortnite’s system requirements. Or is the title too colourful for you? Then try PUBG.
